Parallel Computing and Network Research Lab

Research in the fields of Parallel Computing and Networks are inherently correlated, as the parallel computing infrastructures such as cloud computing requires reliable network communication to maximize the performance of computations. Traditionally wired networks have been considered for connecting the components of parallel computers however recently ad hoc networks consisting of handheld devices have also been tested and analyzed in the context of edge and fog computing. Resource scheduling in the cloud computing environment is imperative to improve the utilization ratio of network data resource particularly dealing with Big Data.

The purview of Parallel Computing and Networks research group (PCN) includes various related aspects such as parallel & distributed computing, IP, wireless, ad-hoc networks. Additionally, the research group has extended its scope to temporal information retrieval, social network analysis, and online privacy issues.
